Eloise Pirkle, age 93, of New Brockton, AL passed away, Tuesday, October 3, 2017.


Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, October 6, 2017 at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Lane Harris and Rev. Chris Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday beginning at 10:00 A.M.  Mrs. Pirkle’s family will be gathering at the home of her daughter, Lela Smith.  Memorials may be made to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1805 County Road 533, New Brockton, AL 36351.


Mrs. Pirkle was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Ellis Pirkle; son, Jimmy Ellis Pirkle; granddaughter, Rebecca Pirkle; son-in-law, Jeff Smith; 2 brothers and 3 sisters.


Survivors include her daughter, Lela Ann Smith; daughter-in-law, Debra Pirkle; grandsons, Derek Smith; Phillip Smith; Taylor Pirkle; 10 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.


The family would like to extend a special thanks to Enterprise Health and Rehab and the 3rd hall staff and the staff of Kindred Hospice.
