 Ernest M. Coker, age 88, of Dothan, passed away July 14, 2017.

 

Ernest Coker was born November 18, 1928 to Mr. James C. Coker and Mrs. Luevernia Coker. He was member of the Logos Baptist Church and an avid Alabama fan. The joys of his life were his grandchildren and being a part of his step- grandchildren’s lives.

 

In addition to his parents Mr. Coker is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille Lawler Coker, and brother, Norton Coker.

 

He is survived by five children, sons, Jimmy Coker ( Sue) of Dothan, Tim Coker (Debra) of Ashford, and Larry Coker ( Beverly) of Dothan; daughters, Cindy Holcomb (Larry) of Cottondale, and Sandy Mallory (Fred) of Enterprise; 10 grandchildren, Greg Coker, Leslie Robinson ( Brandon), Leanne Mallory, Keith Coker ( Niki), Josh Coker, Freddy Mallory ( Stef), Ashley Robertson( Trey), Kay Jones (Andy), Jessica Collins( Jon), Meredeth Hicks (Chad); 6 step-grandchildren, Robby Cain ( Ashley), Jennifer Newman ( Jason), Daniel Davenport ( Chasity), Wes Davenport (Misty) Ben Davenport ( Molly), and Victoria Bush; and 19 great grandchildren.

 

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 P.M. Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

 

Visitation at Logos Baptist Church will be held at 10 A.M. one hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Monday, July 17, 2017 at Logos Baptist Church with Reverend David Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

                  

Family will be accepting flowers.
