ABBEVILLE. . .Ethan Turner, a resident of Abbeville, died Monday night, November 27, 2017, in the emergency room of UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was 44.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Ralph Baker and Reverend George Bryan officiating. Burial will follow in the Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:30 P.M. Wednesday at mortuary.


            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1449 Medical Park Drive, Birmingham, AL 35213.


            Ethan Turner was a lifelong resident of Henry County, near Abbeville. He was a graduate of Abbeville High School and attended Wallace Community College. Ethan formerly served his country in the U. S. Army and had been employed as an electrician. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Vann Turner and a brother, Eric Vann Turner.


            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Makayla Turner, Abbeville; a son, Eric Dakota (Cody) Turner (Harley Smith), Hope Hull, AL; his mother, Marjorie Gillespie Turner, Abbeville; two sisters, Lorna Turner, Abbeville; and Julia Leach, Ashford; a step-daughter, Tiffany Jordan, a step-son, C J Jordan; the mother of his children, Lee Jordan Coach, Cleveland, NC; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.


            Serving as active pallbearers will be Wyatt Evans, Jason Wood, David Money, Kenneth Williamson, Irvin Smith and Bill Bond.
