HEADLAND. . .Etta Stephens Mitchell, a resident of Headland, died early Saturday morning, February 24, 2018, in a Dothan hospital. She was 82.

            The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Holman-Headland Mortuary. A private burial will be held on Monday in the Prattville Memorial Gardens.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be to C.H.A.R.M. (Pet Rescue), P.O. Box 216, Headland, AL 36345.

            Mrs. Mitchell was born and reared in Crenshaw County, Alabama, daughter of the late Shelton Stephens and Lacy Parrish Stephens. She lived in Luverne and Prattville before moving to Headland in 2012. Mrs. Mitchell was preceded in death by her husband, Will Tom Mitchell, a daughter, Marilyn Crabb, a son, Drew Mitchell, three sisters and a brother.

            Surviving relatives include a son, Thomas D. Mitchell (Dena), Headland; six grandchildren including, Brett Mitchell and Rachel Mitchell; three great-grandchildren.
