EVELYN  HOWELL  HARRIS

DOTHAN. . .Evelyn Howell “Ebbie” Harris, a resident of Dothan, died early Monday evening, January 21, 2019, in Westside Terrace. She was 87.

            Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 24, 2019, in the Covenant United Methodist Church with Dr. Hays McKay and Reverend Lynn Nesbitt officiating. A private graveside for the family will follow in Gardens of Memory. Visitation will be from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Thursday at Covenant United Methodist Church.  Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Covenant United Methodist Church, 3610 West Main Street, Dothan, AL 36305.

            Mrs. Harris was born and reared in Chambers County, Alabama, daughter of the late Grover Howell and Lucille Patterson Howell. She lived in Abbeville most of her adult lifetime before moving to Dothan in 1985. Mrs. Harris was a member of the Covenant United Methodist Church and a former member of the Abbeville United Methodist Church.  She retired from the dental office of Dr. Jimmy H King in Headland as a Dental Hygienist. In earlier years, Mrs. Harris was employed in the dental office of Dr. Cary Carmichael in Abbeville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ned J. Harris, her grandchildren, Matthew Chase Harris and Lauren Elizabeth Harris, three sisters and four brothers

            Surviving relatives include her son, Terry Harris (Vicki), Dothan; several nieces and nephews.
