Foye Mae Helms Humphrey of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 in Enterprise.  She was 81.

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Tonya Elmore and Dr. John Granger officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 AM until service time on Wednesday.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Building Fund, 217 South Main Street, Enterprise, AL  36330.

A native of Enterprise, Foye attended Goodman School.  She was an active member of Hamilton Methodist Church, Hamilton, MA; Bethpage United Methodist Church, Kannapolis, NC; and First United Methodist Church of Enterprise.  She served as a Sunday School teacher, Church Trustee, choir member, and with the United Methodist Women.  Foye retired from IBM, Charlotte, NC in 1997. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William G. Humphrey Jr.; father, Noah Oliver Helms; mother Della Meeks Helm; brothers, Ralph, John, Raymon, Leon and Donnie Helms; sisters, Vonnie Helms Griffin, Ann Helms Kinsaul; sisters-in-law, Mavis Helms and Inez Helms and Frankie Helms; brothers-in-law, John Humphrey and Eugene Humphrey.

Survivors include her daughter, Deborah Rice (David); grandson, William Dale Rice (Lindsey) all of Kannapolis, NC; brothers, Coleman Helms and Ray Helms; sisters-in-law, Betty Helms, Gail Helms, Sue Helms, She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews across the country.
