HEADLAND. . . Frank Love “Skip” Lane, III, a resident of Headland, died Friday, December 15, 2017, in a Dothan hospital. He was 70.

            Memorial services will be held at a later date.

            Mr. Lane was born and reared in Tampa, Florida, son of the late Frank Love Lane, II and Virginia Wright Northcutt Lane. He lived in Ellery Center, New York, Bradenton, FL and Punta Gorda, FL before moving to Headland in 2007. Mr. Lane was formerly employed as a carpenter.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Jennifer Love Lane, Ellery Center, NY; and Megan Kent (Daniel), Lisbon, NY; a son, David Lane (Molly), Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Vicki Skemp (John), North Carolina; three grandchildren, Maggie Kent, Silas Kent and Hazel Kent; a special friend, Nina Benton, Headland.
