HEADLAND. . . Gabriel “Gabe” Medina, a resident of Headland, died early Tuesday morning, June 13, 2017, at his home. He was 75.
Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 19, 2017, in the Holman-Headland Mortuary Chapel with Father Patrick Gallagher officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 1:00 P.M. Monday at the mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Felines Under Rescue, P.O. Box 1788, Dothan, AL 36302.
Mr. Medina was born in Mexico City, Mexico and moved to San Antonio, Texas at an early age. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Medina was retired from the Army & Air Force Exchange Service in management positions worldwide. He was a member of the St. Columba Catholic Church and served as past President of the Headland Lions Club. Mr. Medina was a member of the Wiregrass Amateur Radio Club and was a retired Lt. Colonel with the Civil Air Patrol. He was preceded in death by his father, Liborio Medina and his mother, Rosa Maria Ortiz Medina, and his son, Gabriel R. “G.R.” Medina.
Survivors include his wife, Donna S. Medina; a sister, Yadira Zepeda (Sergio), Mexico City, MX; a brother, Eduardo Medina (Jenny), Chicago, IL; special friends, Pete and Betty Ryan, Headland, and Marta Brackin, Headland.
