Garry Alan Maddox of Daleville, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2017.  He was 56.


 


Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 9, 2017 at Daleville Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Peters officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the church Sunday beginning at 1:00 and continuing until service time.


 


Garry was born April 7, 1961, in Port St. Joe, Florida to Jenneda Carolyn Akridge Maddox and the late Rev. James Daniel Maddox.  After serving in the United States Army, he worked as a Maintenance Technician at Fort Rucker for many years.  He was a member of Daleville Baptist Church.


 


Survivors include his son, Alan D. Maddox of Daleville; mother of their child, Bobbie Maddox; mother, Carolyn Maddox of Daleville; brothers and sisters: Donna Mosier (Anthony) of Chipley, FL, Ronnie Maddox of Chipley, FL, and Jennie Hardwick (Neal) of Daleville; maternal aunts and uncles: Gail Mullinax (David), Randal Anderson (Gina), Betty Kirkland, and Kenneth Akridge (Sue); paternal aunts and uncles: Lou Bragg, Frank Maddox, and Janie Lee (Britt); nephew, Isaac Mathis (Crystal); nieces: Jenee Layfield and Shiloh Davis (Devin); grand-nieces and grand-nephews: Natalie Mathis, Maddox Mathis, Kara Mathis, Caleb Layfield, Madeline Martin, Amelia Martin, and Sarah Martin; numerous cousins.
