George Marlin Smith of Hartford passed away Friday, October 28, 2016 in Hartford Health Care. He was 60 years old.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford with Bro. Hilburn Stanley officiating. Burial will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Hartford.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell C. and Minnie Mildred Phillips Smith; two brothers, Daniel O’Dell Smith and James Lamar Smith.

 

Survivors include his siblings, Ruby (Allen) Carr of Hartford, Justin Smith of Chancellor, Otis (Debbie) Smith, Roy Smith, Harvey Smith, Mary (Tom) Turney, all of Hartford; twenty-nine nieces and nephews.
