DOTHAN. . .Geraldine York Boone, a resident of Dothan, died Tuesday morning, April 4, 2017, at her home. She was 91.

            Graveside services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Thursday, April 6, 2017, in the Pinckard Memorial Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Kelly officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Thursday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303.

            Mrs. Boone was born and reared in Pinckard where she lived most of her lifetime before moving to Dothan in 2016. She was a member of the Pinckard Baptist Church and enjoyed playing Bingo. Mrs. Boone was preceded in death by her parents, James Thomas York and Fannie Smith York, her husband, Wilbur L. (Bill) Boone, two sons, Reginald Eugene Boone and Walter Wayne Boone, a son-in-law, Thomas Harold Quinn, and a brother, Thomas J. York.

            Surviving relatives include three daughters, Evelyn Boone Quinn, Dothan; Debbie Cochran, Midland City; and Lynn Smith (Roger Bilch), Tennessee; two sons, Billy Boone (Donna), Slocomb; and Eddie Boone, Dothan; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Ryan Boone, Dusty Boone, Matt Smith, Thomas Quinn, Blake Cochran, Andy Cochran and Chris Oravits.
