Gilbert Gregory Meadows, Jr., 23, of Dothan, died unexpectedly April 11, 2018 at Flowers Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 16, 2018 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Troy West officiating and Kendall Glover directing. Burial will follow at Eastside Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:45-1:45 on Monday prior to service time. Flowers are being accepted.

Gilbert was born April 15, 1994 in Dothan and lived all of his life in Houston County. He attended Ashford High School and was a car detailer at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Gilbert was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church in Columbia.

Gilbert is preceded in death by a grandfather, Gilbert Meadows.

He is survived by his father, Gilbert Gregory Meadows, Sr. (Cheri) of Dothan;  his mother, Teri Gilmer Bates of Dothan; a sister, Shelby Anderson (U.S. Army); a brother, Cody Anderson (U.S. Navy); grandmothers, Faye Meadows of Dothan and Joann Keath of Dothan; a grandfather, James Douglas Gilmer of Dothan; an aunt, Debbie Williams (D.J.) of Ashford; an uncle, Mark Meadows (Lisa) of Arizona; an aunt, Melissa Gilmer of Dothan; several cousins, Jayson Williams (Heather) of Ashford, Nycole Murdock (Marcus) of Ashford, Kirk Meadows of Hawaii, Amanda Meadows of Arizona; several other cousins, aunts and uncles also survive.

Active pallbearers will be Bryan Garrett, Jason Anderson, Haden Anderson, Ray Wuest, Marty Griffin, Johnny Perry, Rickey Yarbrough and Ken Cunningham.
