Harvey Woodham, 86 of Dothan, passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Flowers Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, February 19, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends 9-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Mr. Woodham was born January 29, 1932 in Ashford and he lived the early years of his life in Cottonwood. He was employed with Frazier Ellis as an X-Ray Technician and later employed with Liddon Furniture Store. Mr. Woodham worked with the Houston County Sheriff Office as a dispatcher and later he served as a deputy. In 1981 he became employed with the Dale County Sheriff Office and worked there for several years before becoming a process server until his retirement in 2013. One of his many hobbies was a locksmith and his daily devotion of reading his Bible. Mr. Woodham was a member of Mt. Zion Assembly of God Church, the Fraternal Order of Police, a Mason and he served as a councilman with the Town of Midland City. Mr. Woodham was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Woodham; his daughter Joyce George; his son, Bruce Woodham; his daughter-in-law, Cindy Woodham; his brothers, Mancil Woodham, Manuel Woodham, Bennie Woodham and John Woodham; his sisters, Zee Woods and Geraldine Hughes.

Survivors include his sons, Richard (Angie) Woodham, Danny (Margie) Woodham, Royce Woodham and Cliff (Lori) Woodham; his daughter, Susie (Gary) Zimmerman; his step-son, Scott (Kara) Riley; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
