It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our amazing mother and Maw Maw, Hazel Hundley Carmichael born August 26, 1923. She died October 9, 2016 at the young age of 93 surrounded by her children and grandchildren.


Visitation will be held at Enterprise First United Methodist Church on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., and funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Service will be performed by Reverend Tonia Elmore and Reverend Billy Luttrell with a private graveside service to follow. Flowers or memorials will be received at First United Methodist Church, 217 S. Main Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.


Hazel was born and lived her life in Enterprise, Alabama. She was the secretary of the First United Methodist Church for 30 years and a lifelong member there.  She and her husband, the late Whit Carmichael, owned the Triangle Flower Shop in Enterprise until his death in 1983.


Hazel is preceded in death by her husband, Smith Whitsett Carmichael, her youngest daughter, Patricia Carmichael, and her parents, Zol and Mary Vaughn Hundley.


Surviving family is daughter Janet Lunceford (Tony), Libby Dalious (Billy), Grandchildren, Heith Lunceford (Kristi), Bart Dalious, Heather Lunceford Alspach (Chris), and Beth Dalious Waishes. She is also survived by her favorite playmates, her grandchildren, Eddie, Nicole, Amanda, Bart, Isaac, Harper, Barrett, Karis, and Karleigh. Hazel is also survived and loved by so many other family and friends.
