Hector Manuel Rodriguez-Luina of Enterprise passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2017.  He was 64.

 

Funeral services with full military honors will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Jim Duhaime and Dr. Michael Mynatt officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday beginning at 12:00 and continuing until service time.

 

Hector was born October 23, 1953 in Ponce, Puerto Rico.  He served in the army as an instructor pilot prior to his retirement.  He was a faithful member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School and enjoyed singing in the choir.

 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Thomas Rodriguez; parents: Hector Rodriguez-Ortiz and Olga Luina; and sister, Starla Drennan.

 

Survivors include daughter, Jessica Mansfield (Donavan); two sons: Jerrod Rodriguez (Erika) and Terrell Averett (Lee Ann); two granddaughters: Madison Mansfield and Hannah Averett; sister, Yadira Rodriguez; brother, Edwin Rodriguez; numerous nieces, nephews, and other members of a large extended family.
