Hilda Boutwell Warren of Slocomb passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at her home. She was 92 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 25, 2018 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday beginning 12:00 p.m.

Mrs. Warren was born on October 29, 1926 to the late Louico Augustus and Myrtle Mae Arthur Boutwell. She retired after many years at Ft. Rucker as head cashier of the Commissary. She enjoyed working in her flower beds, especially her lily beds, and also fishing and collecting dragon fly brooches.  

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Rex Warren; one son, Michael Rex Warren; one granddaughter, Crystal Brooke Warren; one brother, L.A. Boutwell, Jr.; and one sister, Jeanine B. Hale.

She is survived by one brother, Johnny Boutwell (Judy) of Jack, AL; two sister-in-laws, Betty Boutwell of Elba, AL, and Patsy Keller (Richard “Dick”) of Bellwood, AL; and many special nieces and nephews also survive.
