Imogene Addison, “Mama Jean” of Ashford, AL, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Extendicare Health Care Center. She was 92.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2019 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Todd Thorpe officiating. The family will receive visitors from 9:45 until 10:45 a.m. Monday prior to the service. Burial will follow in Bluff Springs Baptist Church cemetery in Ashford with Kendall Glover directing. Flowers are being accepted.

The family will be at the home of Cindy Smith, 3565 Watson Bridge Road, Webb, AL, 36376.

Mrs. Addison was a lifetime resident of Ashford and a member of Watermark Church. She was director of the Senior Citizens Nutrition Center in Ashford for many years and loved spending time with her friends there. Her favorite hobby was cooking for her family whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Ray Addison; sister, Melba Kremple; half-brother, Larry Brookins; great-granddaughter, Addison Kate White.

Survivors include her children: Cindy Smith (Phillip) of Webb; Pam Sample (Jay) of Nantahala, NC; Jimmy Addison (Teresa) Dothan; grandchildren, Jaime Sharp (Andrew); Leigh Riley (Tony); April Shiver (Jason); Adam Booth (Regina); Brad Addison; Callie White (Clark); 11 great-grandchildren; sister and special caregiver, Marilyn Waller; half-sister, Glenda Faye White; sister-in-law, Miriam Brookins; several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.

The family would like to thank the staff of Extendicare for the loving care they provided for their mother over the past few years.
