Jack Mullins, 80, a resident of Dothan passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at his residence.


Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Mike Grimes officiating. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Flowers are being accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Grandview Baptist Church Building Fund, 2400 Forrester Rd., Dothan, AL 36301.


Mr. Mullins was born December 18, 1935 in Crenshaw County, AL and lived the early part of his life in Prichard, AL. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 4 years and then was employed as a truck driver with Davis Oil Co. until his retirement in 2002. He later worked with LabCorp until 2010. He loved to play the steel guitar with the Giles Family Gospel Group. He was a member of Grandview Baptist Church.


Survivors include his wife, Patricia Mullins; his daughter, Robin Mullins; his step-sons, Jim (Jean) Willis, Cary (Debbie) Willis, and Robert (Cathy) Willis; 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; his brother, Gerald L. Mullins; several nieces and nephews.
