OZARK. . .Jacob (Jake) Graves, Sr., a resident of Ozark, passed away Saturday morning, May 20, 2017, in UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was 36.

            Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2017, in the Logan Road Baptist Church, Ozark, with Pastor Peter Brent officiating.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary. At other times, the family will be at the home of Todd Whatley, 3612 Will Logan Road, Ozark. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

             In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to North American Spine Foundation, 7075 Veterans Blvd., Burr Ridge, IL 60527.

            Jake Graves was a native of San Antonio, Texas and moved to Ozark in 2007. He was a member of the Logan Road Baptist Church. His passion was NASCAR/Dale Earnhardt and Texas Longhorn athletics. He was formerly employed as an automobile mechanic which was his passion and his trade. Jake was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Jeffrey Whatley and David Whatley.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Jennifer Whatley; two daughters, Jordan Graves and Jessica Graves; a son, Jacob Graves; his mother, Donna Steele, his father, Gene Graves (Deborah Conkle), all of San Antonio, TX; three sisters, Rheanna Trevino, San Antonio, TX; Renee Trevino and Robin Trevino, both of New Braunfels, TX; five brothers, Jeff Graves, Jon Graves (Sam), Russell Graves, Dusty Graves and Ryan Trevino; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Todd and Shelli Whatley, Ozark; sisters-in-law, Christine Barrett (Jason), Chesterfield, MI; Carmen Nichols, Castorland, NY; and Ashley Whatley, Dothan; brothers-in-law, Todd Whatley, Jr., Chesterfield, MI; and Justin Nichols, Daleville, AL.
