James Franklin Humphrey, age 85, of Enterprise, AL, passed away, Thursday, November 3, 2016 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 7, 2016 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Dewayne Sims officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cody’s Crusaders, 11422 W. Route 150, Brimfield, IL 61517.

Mr. Humphrey was a law enforcement officer with the City of Enterprise for 22 years and in Illinois for 10 years.  He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Claudia Humphrey; three daughters, Cindy Chiavini (Scott) St. Cloud, FL; Shelly Kettle (Earl) Washington, IL; Sharon Harkless (Ron) Glasford, IL; two sons, Mark Humphrey (Terri) Kickapoo, IL; Mike Humphrey, Enterprise; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
