James “Harold” Sasser, 88, of Chancellor, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017, after a several month battle with cancer.

Funeral services with military honors will be at 3:00 p.m. Monday, October 30, 2017, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Enterprise with Rev. Johnny Bryant and Rev. Huey Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday beginning at 2:00 and continuing until service time.

Mr. Sasser was born in Coffee Springs, Alabama on October 2, 1929, the son of Thomas and Lula Mae (Lolley) Sasser. He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers: Ralph, Lynwood, and Lomax; and a son, Anthony Harold Sasser.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Nancy M. Sasser of Chancellor, AL; son, James T. Sasser of Auburn, AL; daughter, Latrelle Sasser (Larry Norwood) of St. Petersburg, FL; grandson, Kevin Nolle of St. Petersburg, FL; granddaughter, Olivia (Cody) Chancellor of Dayton, OH; great-grandchildren, Richard Nolle and Savanna Nolle of St. Petersburg, FL; sister, Eva Nell (Charles) Anderson of Enterprise, AL; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Sasser served in Korea and was in law enforcement for many years.

Family requests that a donation to Kindred Hospice, 1200 Rucker Blvd., Enterprise, AL 36330, be made in Mr. Sasser’s name in lieu of flowers, due to health issues of a close relative.
