James Melvin Davis of Enterprise went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday evening, September 28, 2018 at the family residence. He was 83.

 

Funeral services will be 3:00pm on Monday, October 1, 2018 at the Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory chapel in Enterprise with Rev. Slade Stinson officiating. Private burial will follow at a later date.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday beginning at 2:00pm and continuing until service time.

 

Mr. Davis was born December 8, 1934 in Coffee County to the late James Huey Davis and Annie Allen Davis. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He also attended Lee Street Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, 3 brothers, Len Davis, Edward Davis and Billy Davis preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Syble Garrett Davis, Enterprise, AL, 1 sister: Nellie Peak, Geneva, AL, numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
