James “Shorty” Arrington, age 77 of New Brockton, AL, passed away, Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at his home.
A memorial service with Masonic Rites will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Jamie Smith officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 P.M. on Saturday. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mr. Arrington was a 33rd degree Mason and devoted member of the IAMAW Local Lodge 2003. He retired in 2017 as a Master Aviation Mechanic after 56 years of dedicated service at Fort Rucker, AL.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Arrington, New Brockton, AL; daughter, Beckie Patrick, Huntsville, AL; son, James Marion Arrington, II; sister, Karen Catrair Rivera, Perkinston, MS; brother, Wes Catriar, Johns Creek, GA; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
