James W. (Buddy) White, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at Wesley Place on Honeysuckle. He was 84.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 8, 2018 at Union Hill Baptist Church (Cottonwood) with Rev. Eddie Biss and Brother Walter Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Kendall Glover directing. The family will receive friends at the church from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to service time.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Wesley Place on Honeysuckle in memory of James W. White.

Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Merle White, parents, James R. and Effie White and a sister, Edna Turner.

Survivors include his children: Barbara (Mike) Minor, Phenix City, Carol (Jim) Davis, Cumming, GA, Ronnie (Renae) White, Dothan, Judy (Denzil) Partin, Midland City; grandchildren: Angee Henderson Chumney, Eric Henderson, Ashley Umberger, Blake Davis, Madison and MaKenzie Clayton; great-grandchildren Clayton Exum, Auston Chumney, Brooke Umberger; brother, Charles White; sister, Christine Hammitt; several nieces and nephews.

A special thanks to the staff of Wesley Place on Honeysuckle for their loving and compassionate care.
