WICKSBURG…. Mr. Jerry Dale Smith, a resident of Wicksburg, died early Thursday morning, February 14, 2019 at his home. He was 63.

            In keeping with Mr. Smith’s wishes, memorial services will be held at a later date in Horseshoe, North Carolina. Fuqua Bankston Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

            Mr. Smith, son of the late Jasper Lee Smith and Doris Lee Chapman Smith, was a native of Henderson County, North Carolina. He formerly lived in Newport, Tennessee before moving to Wicksburg in April 2018. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by two sisters, Brenda Pace and Carolyn Smtih.

            Surviving relatives include two sons, Jerry M. Smith (April), Wicksburg and Johnny Andrew Dale Smith, Horseshoe, North Carolina; a sister, Linda McMinn (Dennis), Mills River, NC; four brothers, Donnie Smith (Karen), Pahrump, Nevada; Randy Smith (Rosa), Mills River, NC; Richard Smith (Elizabeth), Etowah, NC and Michael Smith, Mills River, NC; a grandson, Timothy Smith; three step-grandchildren, Daniel Hogan, Steven Hogan, and Jonas Hogan; several nieces and nephews.
