Jimmy Rudolph “Rudy” Redden, of Enterprise, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 1, 2018 at UAB Hospital.  He was 71.


 


Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 5, 2018 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory with Rev. Garry Winstead officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until service time.


 


Jimmy “Rudy” was born August 21, 1946, in Columbus, GA.  He was an animal lover who also enjoyed woodworking and rebuilding old cars.  He loved the Atlanta Falcons.  Prior to his retirement, he was a committed and dedicated employee of ALFAB for 50 years.  He was a member of Ino Baptist Church.


 


He was preceded in death by his parents, Grace Stringfellow and Hershel Redden; and his sister, Jeanette Smith.


 


Survivors include his wife, Barbara Redden of Enterprise; son, Jimmy W. Redden of Dothan; two daughters: Bridgett Young (Fred) and Melissa Popovich (Josh) of Enterprise; two brothers: Larry Redden (Sue) of Kinston and Robert Redden (Pat) of Dothan; two sisters: Carol Cox of Dothan and Linda King of Huntsville; four grandchildren: Mason Redden (Lori), Jonah Redden, Kenneth Young, and Lucy Popovich.
