Joan Chancellor, of Enterprise, passed away on Friday, May 11, 2018, she was 88.

 

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2018 at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Tew and Reverend Chad Hixson officiating. Burial will follow at El Bethel Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Joan was born January 25, 1930 to Mr. Sam O. Broxson Sr. and Mrs. Zora Broxson. She was a member of El Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Chancellor is a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother and sister in law.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Willard Lee Chancellor, two brothers and one sister.

 

Survivors include her sons, Mike Chancellor (Sharron) of Chancellor, Al; daughter, Karen Chancellor Owens (Chuck) of Dothan, Al; very special sisters-in-law, Linda Hoover and Faye Broxson; 3 grandchildren Nicole Farris, Matthew Owens, Eric Owens, 10 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
