Joe C. Cassady, Jr., of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, May 19, 2018 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL. He was 61.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at First Baptist Church with Dr. Ben Bowden and Dr. Joseph Carmichael officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 4 to 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Alabama NAA Scholarship Fund, PO Box 861928, Tuscaloosa, AL 35486 or First Baptist Church 302 N. Main Street, Enterprise, AL 36330.
Mr. Cassady practiced law in Coffee County for 35 years and was a member of the Coffee County, Alabama and American Bar Associations. He was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity and graduated from the University of Alabama and the University of Alabama School of Law. Joe was an avid golfer and Alabama fan and was a life-long member of the First Baptist Church of Enterprise.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Liz Cassady.
Survivors include his daughter, Georgia Leigh Cassady, Washington, DC; 2 sons, Joe Calvin Cassady III, Knoxville, TN, Nicholas Edward Cassady, Enterprise, AL; stepson, John Clayton Woodham, Enterprise, AL; sister, Ann Carmichael, Enterprise, AL; father, Joe C. Cassady, Sr., Enterprise, AL.
