Mr. John D. Rachel of Jack, Alabama passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at his residence. He was 81.

 

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Pleasant Ridge Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Buddy Hood officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Enterprise directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday and continuing until service time.

 

Flowers will be accepted or contributions can be made to the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Fund, 4406 Co Rd 223, Jack, Alabama 36346.

 

Mr. Rachel was born October 23, 1936, in Coffee County, to the late Willie Louie Rachel and Allie Mae Goodson Rachel. He was retired from Dorsey trailer.

 

In addition to his parents, 2 brothers and 3 sisters preceded him in death.

 

Survivors include 2 sisters: Nadene Kyser, Montgomery, AL, and Sarah Nell Conley, Jack, AL, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
