Mr. Johnny Edward Lawson of Westville, FL passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2018, at the age of 64.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 21, 2018 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. Billy Locke officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawson Family Cemetery in Westville, FL with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.

Johnny was born on April 24, 1953 in Winter Haven, FL to Holland F. and the late Edna Weeks Lawson. He retired after 35 years of service with the Florida Department of Corrections. In his spare time he enjoyed showing and breeding Game Fowl, spending time with friends and family, especially his grandchildren, Colton and Fashawna.   

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his wife Marrianna Lawson.

He is survived by one son, Shaun Lawson of Westville, FL; one daughter, Falena Lawson Baxley (Cliff) of Westville, FL; father, Holland Lawson of Westville, FL; two grandchildren, Fashawana Lilyanna Lawson and Colton John Shelton both of Westville, FL.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Clyde Miller, John White, John Edwards, Shaun Edwards, Tim Woodall, Flynn Pert, Steven Spears, and Bobby Brasher.

Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Joe Weeks, Henry Alford, Harold Alford, Raymond Ward, Eric Shaddix, Eric Stromgner, Chris Robbins, Gabriel Ramirez, and Gye Ramsey.
