Johnnie Ruth Alford Lewandowski of Dothan and formerly of Samson passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at her home. She was 83 years old.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at New Home Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Turner officiating and Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to The Church at the Crossing, P O Box 1761, Dothan, AL  36302.

Mrs. Lewandowski was born in Geneva County, AL on March 28, 1935 to the late Monroe and Annie Mae Henderson Smith. In her spare time she loved to go fishing.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Harold Alford.

She is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Henry Lewandowski of Dothan; one daughter, Martha Martin (Delbert) of Geneva; three sons, Jim Alford (Carol) of Gulf Breeze, FL, Larry Alford (Becky) of Dothan, and Stephen Lewandowski (Jamie) of Gray, GA; nine grandchildren, Chanci Mascelli (John), Kip Alford (Erin), Chase Alford (Nana), Pace Hayes (Drew), Shelby Peacock (Kyle), Holly Lewandowski, Wesley Martin (Shonda), Kyle Martin, Hayes Duplantis (Christine); fourteen great-grandchildren, Austin Alford, Alexandra Mascelli, Keller Alford, MacKenzie and Lainey Grace Alford, Landree and Rawlins Hayes, Ayden, Bailey, and Adalynn Martin, Dayton Lewandowski, Blayden, Nia, and Brooklyn Duplantis; one brother, Junior Smith (Clara Jean) of DeFuniak Springs, FL.
