Obituary:  Johnny Moore

 

Mr. Johnny Moore of Elba passed away Sunday morning, September 25, 2016 at the family residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 67. 

Funeral services will be 2:00pm on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Enterprise with Rev. Larry Odom officiating. Burial will follow in the Goodman Independent Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the chapel beginning at 1:00pm and continuing until service time.  

Johnny was born November 28, 1948 in Coffee County to the late John Albert and Mattie Maude Johnson Moore. He was retired from the Alabama Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Goodman Independent Church. 

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Darlene Lunsford Moore, Elba, AL, 2 sons: Johnny DeWayne Moore, New Brockton, AL, Joel Brian Moore, Elba, AL, 2 brothers: Charles Edward Moore (Diane), Houston, TX, William Roe Moore (Nancy), Brookhaven, MS, 2 grandchildren: Hailey McKenzie and Madison Grace Moore, niece, Tammy Moore, Houston, TX,  nephew, Bill Moore, Brookhaven, MS
