Jonathan “Jonny” Parrish

 

Jonathan “Jonny” Parrish, a lifelong resident of Dothan died late Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at his home.

Celebration of Life services will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, February 10, 2018 in the Family First Funeral Care Chapel with Reverend Kyle Gatlin officiating. The family will receive friends from 11am until service time. In lieu of flowers, tribute contributions can be made to JDRF, 2112 11^th Ave. South, Suite # 520, Birmingham, AL 35205 in support of the fight against juvenile diabetes.

Jonny had the distinction of being first baby to have been born at Flowers Hospital on December 12, 1950. His late parents Raymond Hollis and Jewell Dupree Parrish raised Jonny and his siblings in Dothan. He worked and retired from the IT Department at Southern Company.

In addition to his parents, Jonny is preceded in death by his wife, Barbara White Parrish. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Scott Clark of Birmingham; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Raymond Parrish of CA, David and Nancy Parrish of FL; a sister, Irene Parrish of UT; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ronald and Debbie White of Dothan and Judy and Rip Detamore of GA; two grandchildren, Annsleigh and Brennan Clark also survive.

Family First Funeral Care, 965 Woodland Drive, is in charge of the arrangements.
