JOYCE  CREWS  BUIE

NEWVILLE, ALABAMA. . .Joyce Crews Buie, a resident of Newville, Alabama, died Saturday morning, January 6, 2018, in a Dothan hospital. She was 88.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A. M. Sunday, January 7, 2018, in the Pine Memorial Cemetery, Blountstown, Florida, with Reverend Don Adams officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the Oakey Grove Baptist Church, c/o Winnie Murray, 1043 Columbia Road, Abbeville, AL 36310.

            Ms. Buie was born near Samson, Alabama, daughter of the late William Thomas Crews and Rebecca Garrett Crews. She lived most of her lifetime in Dothan and Blountstown  before moving to Newville in 2004. Ms. Buie was a member of the Oakey Grove Baptist Church, near Abbeville. She was retired from Hardee’s in Blountstown and in earlier years was employed by Dothan Manufacturing Company.

            Surviving relatives include two daughters, Barbara Adams (Rev. Don Adams), Newville; and Donna Tucker (Mike), Crestview, FL; a son, Bill Buie (Pam), Huntsville, Al; six grandchildren, John Adams (Holli), Donna McCoy (Chris), Thomas Adams (Farrah), Richard Tucker (Angela), Christopher Tucker and Falan Buie; seven great-grandchildren, Anna Adams, Abigail Adams, Cason McCoy, Cailin McCoy, Elizabeth Adams (Josh Starling), Emery Adams and Jennifer Tucker.
