Karen G. Resteivo passed away at 9:57 P.M. on December 3, 2017.  She served in the United States Army for 13 years.  She was stationed in Korea and Germany during her time in active duty.  She became a soldier, married a soldier, and then dedicated the rest of her career to helping soldiers in Personnel Management at Ft. Rucker.  She retired in 2008 with the achievement of 37 combined years of service.

Karen leaves behind a mother, Bessie Lou Hines of Brainerd, MN.  2 daughters- Tracey Carpenter Thomas (Brian-husband), of Florence, AL.  Angela DuBose (Shana wife), of Daleville, AL.  2 sisters, Susan High of Daleville and Mary Hines (Terry-husband) of Brainerd, MN.  2 grandchildren, Luke and Julia Thomas, 7 nieces and nephews, and numerous great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, her family requests donations be made in her name to the Troy Animal Rescue Project (TARP)-PO Box 771, Troy, AL 36081.  TARP will send each donor a memorial certificate.  She would also be honored if you choose to donate to a rescue shelter of your choice instead.
