Kathy Ann Johnson, a resident of Midland City, Alabama passed away at her residence on Tuesday, May 1, 2018. She was 53.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2018 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Trevor Johnson and Lisa Stokes officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1-2 pm prior to the service.

Kathy was born on February 25, 1965 in Fort Myers, Florida. She moved to Midland City at an early age and has resided there for the past 50 years. Kathy was a homemaker who enjoyed drawing, painting and reading her Bible. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Johnson; her sons, John Waylon (Emily) Johnson and Matthew Adam (Chelsea) Johnson; her grandchildren, Jacob Everett Johnson, Ryleigh Murry, Jonah Reid Johnson and Jack Easton Johnson; her mother, Betty Jean Hitchcock; her father, Kenneth Elmer Hitchcock; her brother, Kenneth Earl Hitchcock; her sister, Sheila Kaperak; and several nieces and nephews.
