ABBEVILLE. . .Keith Simons, a resident of the Oakey Grove Community, near Abbeville, died Wednesday afternoon, January 10, 2018, at his home. He was 52.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January 13, 2018, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Mickey Skinner officiating. Burial will follow in the Shorterville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the mortuary.

            Keith Simons was born in Jackson, Michigan and was reared in Michigan and Alabama. He lived in the Abbeville area most of his adult lifetime and was formerly employed by McGriff Tire Company in Dothan. Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Wayne Simons and Jean Adair Mayo Simons, and two brothers, Stephen Wayne Simons and Donald Ray Simons.

            Surviving relatives  include a daughter, Britney Leonard, Dothan; a son, Corey Lang, Cottonwood; three sisters, Brenda Hunter (Dimas Falgado), Green Castle, Indiana; Charlotte McCullough (Tim McCoy), Newville; and Donna Buxton (Jason), Newville; three brothers, Carey Dennis (Linda), Danville, Virginia; Russell Simons (Elaine), Dothan; and Larry Benton (Janie), Lowell, NC; several nieces and nephews.
