ABBEVILLE. . .Kevin Kristopher Parmer, a resident of Abbeville, died Friday night, June 23, 2017, in a Dothan hospital. He was 44.

            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, June 26, 2017, in the Old Zion Baptist Church with Reverend Ron Hendrickson officiating and a eulogy to be given by his uncle, Lamar Parmer. Graveside services will follow at the Anderson Baptist Church Cemetery in Blue Springs. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 12:30 until 2:00 P.M. Monday in the church sanctuary. At other times, the family will be at the home of Teresa Phillips, 1049 County Road 57 South, Abbeville.

            Kevin Parmer was a native of Baker Hill, Alabama and moved to the Wills Crossroads Community of Henry County in 1992. He was a member of the Old Zion Baptist Church. Kevin was self-employed in the landscaping business. He was preceded in death by his father, Ladon Parmer.

            Surviving relatives include his wife, Tanja Strickland Parmer; a very special daughter, Leanne Turner, both of Abbeville; his mother, Betty Jo Parmer, Seale, Al; two brothers, Levin Parmer (Lisa), Montgomery; and Devin Parmer, Sebring, FL; his grandmother, Miriam Parmer Charping, Montgomery; his mother-in-law, Voncile Strickland; sisters-in-law, Karen Turner, and Teresa Phillips (Chris); a brother-in-law, Dale Strickland (June).
