Lamar Pritchett, 64, of Jakin, GA, passed away on June 22, 2017 at the Southeast Alabama Medical Center, Dothan, AL. His funeral will be Sunday, June 25, 2017, at 4 p.m.  EDT at the Chapel of Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home with Dr. Phil Thomas officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service beginning at 3 p.m. EDT.  Burial will follow in the Blakely Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Micheal Drake, Allen Todd, Richard Nelson, Lamar Lanier, Wayne Goocher, Andy Cunningham, Stan Sellers and Shan Sellers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Kovak, Terry Bevis, Preston Chandler, Neal Brunson, Jearl McNeil, Ricky Coleman, Mike Felch, Phil Hodges, Jim Dotson, Cosby Kirkland and Greg Long. Mr. Pritchett was born July 29, 1952 to the late Alva Lamar Pritchett, Sr. and Eleanor Strickland Pritchett. He was a millwright for the Georgia Tubing Corporation, Cedar Springs, Ga. and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by three daughters; Shawn Rogers of Jakin, Ga, Jamie Nelson and Richard of Ashburn, Ga, and Haley Drake and Micheal of Jakin, Ga and a special companion, Joyce Sellers of Ft. Gaines, GA. He is also survived by three sisters; Martha Moore and Phillip, Betty Goocher and Wayne all of Blakely, Carolyn Gleaton and Hal of Ft. Gaines, GA; one brother, John Pritchett and Barbara of Georgetown, GA; two grandchildren, Maya Rogers and Emma Rogers both of Jakin, GA.


The family will be meeting at Haley Drake's home at 2325 Pritchett Road, Jakin, Ga. if anyone would like to visit, they are welcome to do so anytime after 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017.
