Larry Philip Ward, of Dothan, passed away Saturday, July 02, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was 62.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at Byrd Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Johnny Fain officiating. Private burial will be held later at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Geneva, AL with Byrd Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2576 Montgomery Hwy, Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303 or CurePSP, 30 E. Padonia Road, Suite 201, Timonium, MD 21093.

Mr. Ward was born August 4, 1953 in Sylacauga, Alabama to James William Ward and Kelda Marie Ward. He worked at Farley Nuclear Plant for 27 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, James William Ward.

Survivors include his wife, Debra Rose Ward of Dothan; children, Tony and Rebecca Ward of Dothan and James and Andi Ward of Montgomery; four grandchildren, Sean, Gia, Camden and Samuel; mother, Kelda Marie Ward of Auburn; brother, Jim and Rachel Ward of Tuscaloosa; sister, Leigh Ward Nix of Auburn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
