Mr. Lee Ray Marshall, age 74, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 14, 2016.

 

Lee was born in Alabama, on April 4, 1942, to Robert Lee Marshall and Clyde Lucille Johnson.  Mr. Marshall was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He served his country in the United States Marine Corps and was proud to say he was an American, he was awarded with several honors, awards and metals, such as The Navy Commendation Award, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Good Conduct Medal; he was also an avid Alabama fan, he enjoyed playing golf, and siting on his porch. He was also a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

 

Mr. Marshall besides his parents is preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Marshall; sister, Belita Railey; brother, Teddy Joel Marshall.

 

Mr. Marshall was survived by his two sons, Lee R. Marshall Jr (Gail) of The Woodlands, TX, Ronnie Marshall of Dothan; sisters, Brenda Joyce Eldridge (Phil) of Hartford, Jennifer Burke (Elton) of Dothan, Pat Carr of Rehobeth; grandchildren, Alex and Christian; others include several nieces and nephews, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews. A special thank you to the niece, Wanda Carr and sister, Pat Carr for their wonderful care of their uncle and brother.

 

Memorial services will be held at 2PM, Thursday, November 17, 2016 in the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Pollard officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 from 5-7 PM.

 

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions can be made to Gentiva Hospice.
