HEADLAND. . .Linda Hicks Henderson, a resident of Headland, died early Saturday morning, April 29, 2017, at her home. She was 64.

            Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 1, 2017, in the Concord Baptist Church with Reverend Thomas Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Headland.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Concord Baptist Church, c/o Janara Parrish, 1350 County Road 14, Newville, AL 36353.

            Linda Henderson was born and reared in Newville, daughter of the late John Hicks and Carrie Pitts Hicks. She was a 1971 graduate of Chipola High School in Graceville, Florida. Linda was a member of the New Prospect Free Will Baptist Church, near Edwin. She was formerly employed for many years as a floral designer. Linda was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Hicks.

            Surviving relatives include her husband, Reverend Danny Henderson; a daughter, Carrie Henderson Olds (Terence), Pensacola, FL; a brother, Roger Hicks (Thelda), Headland; two grandchildren, Kaii Olds and Kannin Olds; her mother-in-law, Christine Henderson; sisters-in-law, Cynthia Hicks and Cathy Ray (Jimmy); six nieces.

            Serving as active pallbearers will be Jason Thompson, William Sowell, Tracy Armstrong, Ken Whaley, Floyd Stupka, Heath Stupka and Rob Eldridge.
