COLUMBIA…Louise Smith Lewis, a resident of Columbia, died Wednesday morning August 8, 2018 in a Dothan hospital. She was 90.

  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 11, 2018, in the Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church, near Columbia, with Reverend Larry Dykes and Brother Stephen Windham officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, near Midland City. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive family and friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. Friday at the mortuary in Headland. At other times, the family will be at the home of a daughter, Barbara Hamm 779 J.D. Love Road in the Pleasant Plains Community.

  Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church, c/o Wayne Lewis, 2853 Ebenezer Rd, Columbia, AL 36319.

  Mrs. Lewis was born near Midland City, Alabama, daughter of the late John Clifton Smith and Nola B. Yeomans Smith. She lived in Columbia all of her adult lifetime and retired from Judy Bond Blouse Company. Mrs. Lewis was a member of Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Durell Lewis.

  Surviving relatives include two daughters, Mary Ann Phillips (Wayne), Graceville, FL; and Barbara Hamm (Floyd), Columbia; two sons, Wayne Lewis (Brenda), Columbia; and Bobby Lewis (Mary), Columbia; nine grandchildren, Carolyn Stewart, Paula Blackwell (Robert), James Robert Williams, Melissa Sims, Ashley Lewis, Misty Lewis, Shelley Bunyard (Dan), Clay Hamm (Alisa), and Daphine Hamm; fifteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

  Serving as active pallbearers will be James Williams, Clay Hamm, Gabriel Hamm, Ashley Lewis, Dalton Lewis and Zander Sims.
