ABBEVILLE. . .Lucille Blackberg Money, a resident of Abbeville, died Wednesday morning, March 15, 2017, in Westside Terrace in Dothan. She was 90.


            Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 19, 2017, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Thomas D. Gamble officiating and a eulogy to be given by a son, William R. Money. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary.


            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Resource Center, P.O. Box 1170, Dothan, AL 36302.



           
Mrs. Money was born and reared in Norway, Michigan, daughter of the late Carl E. Blackberg and Mamie Henry Blackberg. She moved to Abbeville in 1952 where she was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Mrs. Money was preceded in death by her husband, William Rupert Money, a grandson, Eric Russell Money, two sisters, Pearl Lobello and Beatrice Deaton, and a brother, Aver Blackberg.



            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Beth Mahone (Key), Dothan; four sons, William (Bill) Money (Ellen), Ponce Inlet, FL; Jerry Money, St. Petersburg, FL; Teddy Money (Terri), Abbeville; and Carl Money (Cheryl), Abbeville; two sisters, Georgia Broderson and Gloria Hulce, both of Vulcan, Michigan; eight grandchildren, Brooke Searcy, Lauren Searcy, Will Mahone (Zane), Graves Mahone, Bill Money (Natalie), Adam Money, Jason Money and Jillian Money; two great-grandchildren,
