Lula Jean Tyler Rich


Lula Jean Rich, age 80 of Kinsey died Monday afternoon June 4, 2018 at the Madison Heights Memory Care Community in Enterprise after a long illness.


Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Kinsey with her brother-in-law Rev. Curtis Rich officiating and Family First Funeral Care directing.  The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at the family residence in Kinsey.


Mrs. Rich was born in Houston County, Alabama daughter of the late Spurgean Tyler and Clyde Nowell Tyler.  She retired after a 50-year career as a school teacher in Alabama and Ohio.  Mrs. Rich lived in Northern Ohio for 40 years before moving back in 2001 and was a Southern Baptist Pastors Wife.  She was preceded in death by a son James Anthony Rich.


Survivors include her husband Pastor James A. Rich of Kinsey, two sons Mike A. Rich (Janet) of Dallas, TX, Tim Rich of Toledo, OH, a brother Tommy (Marsha) Tyler of Jakin GA, a sister Rhonda Riley of Dothan and several grand and great-grandchildren.
