Mrs. Margaret P. Murphy of Daleville passed away on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Elba Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.  She was 75.

 

Funeral services will be at 1:15 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2016 at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo with Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory of Enterprise directing. 

 

Mrs. Murphy was born August 13, 1941, in Bibb County, Alabama, to the late Woodrow and Anita Avant Gibson.  In addition to her parents, a brother, Robert “Buddy” Gibson and one great-grandson, Blake Clement Murphy preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Robert Murphy of Daleville; son, Robert Murphy (Cherrila) of Abbeville; daughter, Wanda Bryant (Jimmy) of Clayton; brother, James Wesley Gibson (Dean) of Centreville; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
