Mrs. Margaret Ruth Coots of Ozark, passed away at her residence Wednesday, November 30, 2016. She was 79.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2016 in the Earl Bankston Memorial Chapel of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home in Ozark with Rev. Peter Brent officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral home.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN. 38105
Mrs. Coots was born March 3, 1937 in Logan, West Virginia to the late Ed and Freda Mullins. She was a loving wife, awesome mother, grandmother and friend to many and devoted her life to caring for others. She worked for many years in local lunchrooms, serving at Dale Medical Center, Eastgate School and Carroll High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack L. Coots, a son, Jackie Coots and a granddaughter Valarie Michelle Coots.
Surviving family include daughter, Debra Howell of Ozark, AL.; son and daughter in law, Roger and Judy Howell Coots, of Ozark, AL; sisters, Phyllis (Max) Cook of Ottawa, W.VA.; and Delores (Charles) Eastham, Clarksville, TN.; grandchildren, Rachel Coots, David and Crystal Coots, Brandy Davis, Chelsie Whatley, Roger Sean Coots and Ashley Barker, several great grandchildren, special neighbors, Jeff and Martha McKim and Cliff and Dianne Kuatz.
