Marjorie Pullum White, 93, went home to be with the Lord on July 31, 2018 in Dothan, AL. She was born on January 27, 1925 in Troy, AL. to Flem and Daisy Pullum (Walden).


 


Marjorie was married to Rev. Emmett White for over 52 years at his passing, together they pastored over 30 years at Piney Grove United  Methodist Church. She was a loving wife, mother,  sister, and grandmother, who graduated from the University of Alabama. She began a career as a clerk for Fort Rucker and retired 48 years later as the highest ranking civilian officer  on base. Through the years of ministry she was a Sunday School Teacher, music director, and piano player in the church. Marjorie cared for the family farm that dated back to the 1890’s. She was a church and family historian who enjoyed flowers and loved her pet cats.


Visitation: Thursday, August 2 , 2018 from 6 PM – 8 PM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home


Funeral Service: 10 AM, Friday, August 3, 2018 at Piney Grove United Methodist Church, with burial to follow at church cemetery.


She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant brother; sisters; Carolyn Pullum, and Catherine Bradley; brother: Larry Pullum.


Survivors: sons; Keith White and Greg White, granddaughter: Kayra Davis (Drew), and many loving family members.
