Mary Alice was born on December 8, 1936 to William Dennis Moat and Robbie Mae Hinson Moat. She passed away on June 20, 2018 at her home in the Love Hill Community.

 

She lived in Houston County, Alabama most of her life. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Mount Enon Baptist Church. She retired from Dothan Manufacturing Company in 1989. She enjoyed working in her yard and loved her family.

 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, A. J. Guilford, Jr. and Donald Lydick; one grandson, Joshua Lamar Guilford; seven brothers and three sisters.

 

Mary is survived by five children; Judy (Don) Mosteller, Lilburn, GA, Raymond (Sharon) Guilford, Troy, AL, Jimmy Guilford, Ozark, AL, Wanda (James) Martin, Madrid, AL and Larry Guilford, Ashford, AL; ten grandchildren, Cassandra Mabe, MeLena Godwin, Anthony (Tony) Guilford, Todd Brown, Wade Guilford, Jeniffer Boyett, Christian Guilford, Jason Guilford, Jeffery Guilford, and Joseph Ridley; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Junior Moat; special friend, Harold Seager; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 23, 2018 from the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Friday, June 22, 2018 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Guilford, Jason Guilford, Jeffery Guilford, Joseph Ridley, Damon Godwin, Jerry Boyett, Ricky Phillips, and Wade Guilford.

 

The family will be accepting flowers.
