MARY  BRUNER  WHATLEY

PANSEY. . .Mary Maskel Bruner Whatley, a resident of Pansey, Alabama, died Friday night, March 9, 2018, in the Signature Healthcare of North Florida in Graceville. She was 85.

            Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 12, 2018, in the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Greg Aman officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Headland Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.

            Mrs. Whatley was born and reared near Ashford, daughter of the late Amos Bruner and Clodine Bodiford Bruner. She lived near Ashford most of her lifetime before moving to the nursing facility in Graceville. Mrs. Whatley formerly served as a Volunteer Grandparent for the Houston County School System. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Robert (Tom Bob) Whatley, Sr., a son, Tom Whatley, Jr., and two brothers, Beachum Bruner and Joe Brady Bruner.

            Surviving relatives include a daughter, Janet Whatley Sims (Charles), Pansey; three grandchildren, Jennifer Waggoner (Chris), Tre’ Eubanks (Joni), and Tyler Sims (Shelby); four great-grandchildren, Megan, Lenora, Danny and Hunter and a great-granddaughter on the way.
